Timesafe: seismic safety and innovation
Improving the seismic safety of buildings is one of the priority objectives of our country’s construction.
About 43% of the national territory is classified as having a high seismic risk. These areas include 35% of the Italian municipalities equal to 22 million people and 6.5 million buildings.
For this reason Timesafe was born. A project that includes a set of new technologies capable of improving seismic safety with a reduced environmental impact.

Timesafe allows you to integrate different technologies for various uses:
External reinforcement of buildings, through the use of insulating polystyrene formwork, with integrated metal reinforcements and concrete / fiber-reinforced mortars castings and with the relative connection system to the load-bearing structures;
Internal reinforcement of buildings with engineered wood panels, low weight, and therefore easy to install and transport and install: XLam walls, for bracing the building; XLam panels, for the stiffening of decks and roofs, also reinforced with composite materials; dissipative walls, for the improvement of the damping capacity.
In addition to this, it is possible to improve the energy efficiency and plant engineering of the building through:
The installation of external panels of light plant systems and devices for structural and environmental monitoring, integrated into the external panels;
Low thickness ceramic coatings and decoupling membrane
The Project is co-financed under the POR-FESR 2014-2020 of the Emilia-Romagna Region and in particular the Call for strategic industrial research projects aimed at the priority areas of the Intelligent Specialization Strategy (DGR no. 968/2018).
